When I tried to connect WiFi with Raspbian Strech Lite, “Could not communicate with wpa_supplicant”

Raspberry PI zero W has a new Raspbian distribution Strech.

Download Raspbian for Raspberry Pi

Since it was so hard, I decided to try it, and I couldn’t connect to the wireless LAN for some reason when connecting from USB to SSH.

Rewriting wpa_supplicant.conf doesn’t seem to connect, so when trying to access the NetWorker settings from raspi-config, the title, could not communicate with wpa_supplicant error and here was an error running option N2 Wi-fi Error returned.

When I looked lightly, I also found an article that caused the lack of country code,

but I did not feel that I was reading conf in the first place, so I thought that the device was disabled, I did sudo ifup wlan0, ifup: unknown interface wlan0 .

After all wlan0 seems to be disabled.

I referred to this official forum.

Raspbian Stretch: Wifi not starting on boot – Raspberry Pi Forums

sudo vim /etc/network/interfaces

and, you should write in bottom

allow-hotplug wlan0
iface wlan0 inet manual
wpa-conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

This will allow wlan at startup. afterwards,

sudo systemctl enable wpa_supplicant.service

restart wpa_supplicant

sudo reboot now

Restart Raspi to complete.

Now, no error is returned when opening the network setting from raspi-config.

If you have a problem with the same symptoms, we would appreciate it if you could refer to it.
